Howl for Help: Health Intervention for Alcohol and Other Drug-Related Emergencies
In cases of intoxication and/or alcohol poisoning as well as other drug-related medical emergencies, NC State University’s primary concern is the health and safety of those involved. Students are strongly encouraged to call for medical assistance (911) for themselves or for a friend/acquaintance who is dangerously intoxicated. No student seeking medical treatment for an alcohol or other drug overdose will be charged with specific violations of the Code of Student Conduct related to the possession and/or consumption of alcohol or other drugs. This also applies to students seeking help for the affected student.
An organization, such as a fraternity or sorority, that seeks medical assistance medical assistance on behalf of a guest at an event it hosts will not be charged with a specific violation of the Code of Student Conduct related to the possession and/or consumption of alcohol or other drugs.
